What kind of pet would I be? a cat!

Hmm... CAT sounds ok to me. I'd love to have Kitty's to-do list... sleep... eat... sleep... go inside... sleep... sleep.......... ah...... sleep. How lovely it would be to do nothing then sleep afterwards.

Independent and aloof, you don't like to be dependent on anyone.
And as for other people, you can take them or leave them. You often don't care.

You live your life by your own rules and you have deep motivations that no one truly understands.

Why you would make a great pet: You're not needy or greedy... unlike other four legged friends.
(hmm... I think I am rather needy!)

Why you would make a bad pet: You're not exactly running down to greet people at the door

What you would love about being a cat: Agility and freedom

What you would hate about being a cat: Being treated like a dog by clueless humans

What kind of pet would you be?

Bewareth Ye of Dragons

I love this! It's a 7"x7" piece of cardstock so I didn't have to worry about trying to squeeze the stamps in like usual! I made this little sign for a lady at work. We have a new staff member in our office and he sits right in front of one of our existing 'rebels'. Sometimes she gets a little short with him so he calls her a snappy dragon... that's why I made this sign. They both think its fantastic! He is completely bald and says that it was because she burnt all of his hair off! We have it on the wall now warning people to beware... just in case a snappy dragon comes out!

Bewareth Ye of Dragons..

I LOVE this saying! It makes me laugh every single time and the cute little chubby Albert to go with it! I have been pretty hung up on using this pattern paper with the fairytale stamps for a while now but it just goes so well! It is exactly the colour scheme I love with these stamps so I hope you like it because I will be making more until the paper runs out!

So with that, I will leave you with the tip of the day... Bewareth ye of dragons... for thou art crunchy! You never know, you might need that bit of advice one day!
but, thankfully, I doubt it!

Think Pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and its time to think pink. To help raise awareness, please take a minute to post this little penguin on your blog or get yourself a pink ribbon.

Nikki from Bunny-Zoe's says this... and I couldn't have put it better myself...

Take a few minutes to just think... smile at the next person you see, tell someone you love them, give your kids a huge hug, send a distant friend an e-card to let them know you care, send a friend an unexpected RAK or maybe you would like to make a pink card to to send to someone special to put a smile on their face!

Visit Nikki's blog to read her lovely post and if you make any pink cards during october, be sure to let her know.

Relax... It's your day

Well, for a little while there I think I lost my stampin' mojo but it seems to be back! I have been struggling to make cards that I am happy with lately but I finally worked one out! This is Time Well Spent and making this card using SCS SC199 sketch for this week was time well spent if you ask me! I don't actually have this stamp but its so cute I might have to put it on my list! A few of my friends and I met up and had a stamping session a few weeks ago and borrowed each others stamp so I have quite a few new ones to play around with now!

Anything but a card...

Oh why do Sunday's come by so fast! One one hand they are great because it's the day that we do the High Hopes challenge but on the other hand, its the very last day of freedom for me for another whole week! I have said it before and I will say it again... work just gets in the way! LOL. Well, this week over at the High Hopes blog we are challenging you to make anything but a card! This is a little M&M gift bag using Walkabout Wally and it will make a great, quick little gift... provided I don't open it and eat the M&M's first!! I got the idea from Cammie who seems to come up with fantastic little ideas that always makes me think... I must remember that!

Not So Gingerbread People

These are my little gingerbread people! I have finally finished one of the projects I have on the go at the moment... that leaves two more Christmas thingies, two cards and a tin to do! This weekend I have decided to work on each thing and not switch between like I have all week so I can actually get something completed! Anyway, these are little Kaisercraft gingerbread people... I say people because the two red ones are girls! I think if you click on the picture it should go a bit bigger. One down... five to go! Provided I don't think of something else and start another project!

Happy Birthday

Hello! My posts have slowed down a bit lately haven't they? Well I have been crafting, I have been working a few Christmas OTP projects... I have been having fun too!

This card is using the ever lovely, Sitting Princess and I stamped her first, masked her then stamped the Rock Wall. There are all sorts of things she can sit on... its rather handy! I love the cute little froggie jumping up from the side! These stamps are just adorable aren't they? If you said yes, you should join the High Hopes Hop... we are giving away rubbery goodness everywhere!

Well.. thats me for today, off to take the cat to the vet and then to the one place that manages to get in the way of crafting five days a week... work! Have a fantastic day!!

Challenge Time Again..

Well, Sunday has been and gone yet again and that means there is another High Hopes Weekly Challenge!

This week we are sewing on cards... Kelly, my sister (hey Kel!) fixed my sewing machine just after I made this card for my dad's birthday. The stitching was pulling a bit funny here and there... turns out I had the bobbin threaded in the wrong way... hey... simple mistake to make! It was sewing so I assumed it was right!! Now that it's all fixed I am going to work on sewing more... I might even work on sewing more layer than one! OOOOOooooo! As for the rest of Dad's card, the bows on Gavin the Givin' Dragon's pressies are stamped and watercoloured twice and raised as well as Gavin himself... it has a whole lot more dimension in real life... lets just hope it doesn't get ruined in the post!
BLOG CANDY ALERT!
Don't forget... there is blog candy flying everywhere every few days so don't forget to do the High Hopes Hop and find the sugary (or should I say, rubbery) goodies!

1968 was a good year...

I am assuming! It was 15 years before my time but it seems to agree with me don't you think?? Matt would have been pretty darn handsome in 1954 too! I can't say I would have walked past him without looking twice!

Nerida - Matt said that he looks like Hans... what do you think?

This website is an absolute crack up! It's called Yearbook Yourself and it was GREAT fun... I imagine these photos are going to pop up on blogs all over soon.... why not... its hilarious!

A gift for you

This is Gavin the Givin' Dragon... haha.. he make me laugh every time! Gavin isn't usually a Christmas dragon so he can really make use of a few occassions! I stamped the Christmas hat, then masked it with a cut out post-it note and stamped Gavin underneath... I have been getting great use out of my Stamp-a-ma-jig lately! This is also a first for me, I used the Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge from this week - SC196! Woohoo! I have been trying so hard for ages to work one into a card... for some reason, I find it really hard! I am so proud now I am going to try really hard on next weeks too!

Happy Birthday

This is sweet little Ewenice and she is the star of my challenge card for this weeks High Hopes Challenge! This week we are using neutral colours... man was this a challenge for me! I think I missed the mark a bit seeing as I used pink rather than blue or green along with my brown and ivory but I still think she is sweet! I am really starting to get use out of these nesties... might just need to work on colour selection now!

No Worries!

I LOVE Ace! He is just my favourite dragon! I watercoloured this one the first day I got my new release High Hopes stamps. I wanted to try some different colours. Olive green is my favourite dragon colour so far but he does look cute red too if you ask me! My friend at work says he looks more pink... and yeah he does look a bit pink but I still class this as red personally! I also managed to use my nestabilities too!
