This is Lily and Billy Sweethearts by Pink Cat Studio and it is one of three cards I made in a collection late last year. I just realised that I only posted the first card and not the rest. So! Here they are! I used a Prima Flower and my beloved Martha Stewart Leaf Punch.

Little Gems
Nikki has challenged us to use Gems, Pearls or Beads this week for the High Hopes Challenge. I made a card using Sea Floor, Treasure Chest, Diver Dan and Stanley Sea Snail. I used Kaisercraft Pearls, a Rhinestone Brad and some clear and blue beads to hang the treasure map charm.
This is only a short post today because I really have to go to bed but if you would like to join in, pop on over to the High Hopes Blog for more details.

Grungeboard Wallet
I made this Grungeboard wallet for my Dad for his birthday last October. It is just like me to only be getting around to posting a picture of it now! I got the idea from Scrapbooking Memories about a month or two before then. There are heaps of templates out there (especially on SCS) but I couldn’t find one that looked exactly like I wanted it to so I just made it up as I went along.
The Grungeboard has been inked with Walnut Distress Ink and then over the edges on the inside with Spiced Marmalade too. The front cover also has a little bit of Broken China on it.
I got the idea of the heart and wings from Tim Holtz himself. I wanted to do some more wire stitching on it but ran out of time in the end (actually glued the heart and wings on while in the car on the way to Dad's birthday dinner). The Grungeboard been inked using Alcohol Ink which works GREAT! The colour looks really vibrant on Grungeboard and dries really quickly without clogging up the texture like a couple layers of paint does.
I even worked out how to put a little snap on the front! I then hung a little Philosophy Tag on it with a bit of linen thread just for something else.
Each little ‘credit card’ has an Alcohol Ink background. You take some glossy cardstock, put a few drops of different coloured inks on an ink applicator and then dab all over randomly. You then put a drop of Alcohol Ink Blending Solution on the applicator tool and dab that over too and it blends the edges of the ink! It is a really fun technique! I even put a drop of Silver Metallic Mixative on it too and that just adds another little dimension to make the colours really stand out against each other. It’s a shame my photos covered them up so much really!

Easter Cards!
This weeks High Hopes Challenge is hosted by Lacey and she would like us to make an Easter or Spring themed card. The stamp I used is called Bunny Blooms and I used Kaisercraft Devonshire pattern paper and some Green Tara Mesh Ribbon. I even used my Cuttlebug and embossed some pattern paper and put some gold Metallic Rubons on it. I can't believe I thought of so many different things I haven't done for a while on one card!
So, if you are going to join in the challenge this week, whip on over to the High Hopes Blog for the details and make sure you put a link to your card so you go in the draw to win some stamps!
Have a great week!

A Good Friend...
Well… I’m a bit late with my post but you know what they say… better late then never. This weeks challenge is hosted by me and it is a card recipe. Brown, Orange and a circle. The circle doesn’t have be paper though, buttons and brads are still round!
The stamp I used on this card is called Stretch and he is one of my first High Hopes images that I ever purchased! I found HH just before the Jungle themed stamps were released and they are still way up there as my favourites!
If you would like to join in the High Hopes Challenge, pop on over to the blog to leave a link to your card and you will go into the draw to win our weekly rubber prize!
